THE BARE STORY
President Donald Trump is scheduled to present national science and technology medals to several technology executives at the White House’s Science: A New Golden Age Summit on Thursday.
Elon Musk, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang and Advanced Micro Devices Chief Executive Lisa Su are set to receive the National Medal of Science. Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and Microsoft Chief Executive Satya Nadella are scheduled to receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
A White House spokesperson said the administration was recognizing science and technology leaders for contributions that help maintain U.S. leadership in innovation.
Musk’s award follows a reconciliation with Trump after their public dispute over federal spending legislation last year. Musk previously led the Department of Government Efficiency for four months before leaving in May 2025.
