• Authorities seized a tanker allegedly carrying Venezuelan crude oil. U.S. authorities have taken control of a tanker named the Skipper, which they claim was transporting 1.1 million barrels of oil from Venezuela to Iran. According to the White House Press Secretary, the vessel will be brought to a U.S. port, where its contents will be seized after a legal process.
• The White House has signaled intent to continue these operations. A White House official stated that President Donald Trump is willing to seize additional tankers operating off the coast of Venezuela. This position is supported by reports from sources who indicated that the U.S. is expected to target more ships in the coming weeks.
